Family Mediation services - Family Dispute Resolution

Consent Orders Financial Agreements and Parenting Plans.

Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) is a structured mediation process that supports separated parents to make decisions about their children and, where relevant, property arrangements.

At Excellence in Mediation, I provide a calm, neutral and child-focused environment where both parents are supported to communicate effectively and work toward practical agreements.

The process begins with individual intake sessions, allowing each person the opportunity to discuss their concerns privately. If assessed as appropriate to proceed, a joint mediation session is then facilitated, where both parties are supported to explore options and reach agreements.

Family Dispute Resolution encourages respectful communication and focuses on the best interests of the children, helping parents to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Where agreement is reached, outcomes can be documented in a Parenting Plan or formalised into Consent Orders for submission to the Court.

If mediation is not suitable or an agreement cannot be reached, a Section 60I Certificate may be issued, allowing parties to consider further legal options.

Excellence in Mediation provides support in the preparation and drafting of documents to formalise agreements reached during mediation.

This includes the drafting of Consent Orders, Parenting Plans and Binding Financial Agreements, ensuring that outcomes are clearly documented and reflect the arrangements agreed between the parties.

Where appropriate, Consent Orders can be submitted to the Court to become legally binding, providing both parties with clarity and certainty moving forward.

Independent legal advice is recommended in relation to Binding Financial Agreements to ensure each party fully understands their rights and obligations.
